Stephen’s legacy is too important to be rewritten, reduced, or lost.
We are his family. We knew him best. We are committed to honoring him with light, love, and truth while pursuing the legal clarity and peace he deserves.

Context & Clarity

On December 13, 2022, our world changed forever with the unexpected loss of Stephen.

Since that day, we’ve grieved quietly as a family, holding space for our pain while working tirelessly to honor his memory with compassion, dignity, and truth. But in the time that followed, we’ve also faced deep confusion and growing concern.

Despite efforts to keep the focus on healing, recent events — including misleading and painful claims made in a public memoir — have caused unnecessary hurt and raised serious questions about the truth surrounding Stephen’s life and passing.

“We, the Boss Family, are completely appalled by the misleading accounts and inconsistencies in Allison's book. Her portrayal of Stephen appears to reshape his story into a narrative that aligns with her perspective… These statements, along with her insensitive opinions about mental health, add unnecessary hurt during an already difficult time.”

We were not consulted. We were not informed.
And in some cases, we were legally restricted from speaking freely or even participating fully in our own family member’s memorial.

We were asked to sign a non-disclosure agreement shortly after Stephen’s passing — an action that felt more like a silencing tactic than a gesture of peace.

“Stephen does not deserve this treatment, in life or death. Her accounts cause us to doubt everything she has uttered publicly and privately.”

Due to the unproven claims published and our family's growing legal and emotional weight, we have retained legal counsel to pursue answers. And quite frankly, we need your help.

This GoFundMe was created to help our family navigate this legal exploration and access the resources we need to find peace and healing, not just for ourselves but also for Stephen’s children and legacy.

They knew him.
They raised him.
They loved him —

the real Stephen.
